Guangyuan Wangcang County, in April, the first “Tea-Light Complementary” pilot project, the Guangyuan Wangcang Tea-Light Complementary New Photovoltaic Power Station Project, contracted by Zhejiang Xingyu, has been successfully completed and connected to the grid for power generation, officially put into operation. The initiation of this project signifies the deep integration of tea cultivation and clean energy development in Wangcang County, injecting new momentum into the local economy while ensuring the quality of tea leaves remains unaffected.
Unlike traditional photovoltaic power stations, the Guangyuan Wangcang Tea-Light Complementary New Photovoltaic Power Station employs dual-axis intelligent tracking support technology. Each photovoltaic panel, like a sunflower, constantly faces the sun, compensating for insufficient sunlight duration through active sun tracking. This technology increases the annual utilization of sunlight hours from 830 to 1086.6, significantly enhancing photovoltaic power generation efficiency.
Additionally, the photovoltaic panels in this project not only have no adverse effects on the quality of tea leaves but also provide appropriate shading that benefits tea growth. This tea-light complementary mode not only achieves sustainable energy utilization but also brings new development opportunities to the local tea industry.
Officials from the Guangyuan Wangcang County government expressed that the successful completion of the Tea-Light Complementary New Photovoltaic Power Station project is a significant milestone in Wangcang County’s clean energy development strategy.
